第11集 司令台 (Outdoor Stage)

1. This is an outdoor stage or speaking platform.

   這是ㄧ座司令台,或是發表談話的講台。

2. Outdoor stage is used so that they can have a program here on the  stage.

   人們可以用司令台作為舞臺來進行表演活動。

3. The student body will be out here in the play field.

   全體學生會出來到操場這個地方。

4. They can watch it.

   他們可以觀賞表演。

5. If it’s a speaking platform and to be used so that, the administrator or the     principal will be up here.

   如果司令台被用來作為講台,學校行政人員或校長會站在台上。

6. The whole student body will be out here in the athletic field, and he can       address the whole student body at one time in one place.

   全體的學生會出來到運動場上,然後他就可以在同一時間與同一地點對全     體學生說話。

7. This is also used for a flag-raising ceremony.

   升旗典禮時也會用到司令台。

8. Flag-raising ceremony is held once or twice a week.

   升旗典禮一星期舉行ㄧ次或兩次。

9. And it’s where they raise the Taiwan national flag at the school.

   這裡是學校將臺灣的國旗升上去的地方。

10. If there is an announcement that the principal or administrator wishes  to make to whole student body after the flag-raising ceremony, he will then make that announcement.

   如果在升旗典禮過後,校長或學校行政人員有事情要對全體學生宣布, 他就會利用這個機會宣布。

第12集 裱框 (Frame)

1. It’s common to see artwork , paintings and things like that put in a frame. 

   將藝術品、畫作以及此類的物品裱框起來是很常見的。 

2. Here in Taiwan and most of Asia, this is called calligraphy. 

   在臺灣和大都數的亞洲地區,這叫做書法。 

3. And they usually put in a frame.  

   而且他們通常會把它裱框起來。 

4. It will keep it looking better longer over an awfully long period of time. 

   這麼做可以使它保存的更完整長久,可以經過相當長久的ㄧ段時間。 

第13集 獎項類別 (Types of Awards)

1. There are many type of awards

    這裡有許多獎狀的類型。

2. There are certificates, plaques, medals.

   這裡有證書,牌匾,獎牌

3. Trophy is this. 

  這是獎盃。

4. This trophy is for table tennis.

   這是桌球的獎盃。

5. This is a certificate.

   這是一張證書。

6. This can be given by the principle to a student or could be given to the principal from magistrate for doing excellent work.

   這可以給通過標準的學生,或由地方法官因為工作表現優異而給予校長。

7. This medal is a plaque.

   這個獎牌是一塊牌匾。

8. It is given for outstanding performance..

   這是給予表現卓越的人。

9.  At sporting events, you receive medals,gold medals, silver medals and bronze medals.

   在運動項目中,你得到獎牌,有金牌,銀牌和銅牌。

10. This is gold medal for a sporting event.

   這是一個運動項目的金牌。


第14集 腳踏車 (Bicycle)

1. We’re gonna talk a little bit about this bicycle and the parts on the bicycle.

    我們將要簡單的談談這台腳踏車以及腳踏車上的組件。

2. Have the handlebars,the frame, the seat, the pedals and the tires.

    有手把,骨架,座墊,腳踏板和輪胎。

3. On the handlebars, you have the brake levers.

    在手把上,有煞車手把。

4. When you squeeze the brake levers, it opens and closes the brake.

    當你緊握煞車手把時,他會開啟與關閉煞車器。

5. That’s how you slow down and stop.

    這就是你減速和停止的方法

6. This is the handlebar, what you steer the bicycle with. 

    這是手把,是你用來控制腳踏車方向的東西。

7. Right here is the shifter.

    變速器就在這裡。

8. For safety, this bike has a light in front and a flashing light in the back.

    為了安全起見,這台腳踏車的前面有一盞燈而且後面還有一盞閃示燈。

9. Also has a place to carry the water bottle right here.

    這裡還有一個攜帶水瓶的地方。

10. Very handy little bike.

11. If you want to adjust the height of the handlebars, you can do it here.

    如果你想調整手把的高度,你可以在這裡調整。

12. You want to adjust the seat, you can do it here.

13. Pedals are down here. Good pedals.

14. Has a little tool kit back here for carrying things.

第15集 福 (Fu Character)

1. Hello! Today I’m going to introduce you to a very commonly seen item in Chinese society.

哈囉!今天我要為你們介紹一樣在中國社會經常可以看到的東西。    

2. The script writing on this is pronounced “fú” and it means good fortune.

這上面寫的字讀作ㄈㄨˊ, 它的意思是好運。    

3.  You’ll see this on a lot of homes at the door.

你會在很多家庭的門口看到這個字。

4. People put this up to help bring good fortune to their house.

人們貼上這個有助於將好運帶到他們家來。

5. Oftentimes you will see this on the doorway, and it is upside-down.

通常你會在門口看到這個字,並且是倒過來的。

6. The reason for this is : the pronunciation for “arrive” is “dao”.

倒過來的原因是 : "到"的發音是ㄉㄠˋ

7. The pronunciation for “upside-down” is “dao”. It sounds the same.

"倒過來"的讀音是ㄉㄠˋ。 發音聽起來是一樣的。

8. When you say “fu dao”, good luck, good fortune has arrived. That’s why they put it that way.

當你說"福倒(到)",好運,幸運已來到。這就是為甚麼人們這樣貼的原因。

9. Another interesting item about this is this little dot here on the side of it.

另一件和福有關而且很有趣的東西是這裡的小點在自旁邊的地方。

10. It’s called the “dian”.

它叫做ㄉㄧㄢˇ。

11. When the person originally wrote this, a little bit of ink spilt on the side of it.

起初作者在寫這個字的時候,一點點墨汁噴到字的旁邊。

12. It was an accident. It was not meant to be there, and he thought he ruined it.

這是意外。作者並沒有打算把這個點寫在那裡,而且他覺得他把作品毀了。

13. But after looking at it, they decided that “dian” means a little more.

但是在看過之後,他們決定這個點代表多一點的意思。

14. In that sense, it means a little more good fortune is coming.

依據那個意思,它就表示多一點好運即將到來。

第16集 平安 (Safe and Sound)

1. Hello!

   哈囉!

2. I’d like to talk to you today about this paper cutout.

   我今天要來與你們談談關於這件紙雕飾品。

3. It’s a very common gift here in Taiwan and it has a very specific meaning.

   在臺灣這是一個很常見的禮物,而且它有一個很特殊的涵義。

4. It’s shaped like an apple.

   它的形狀像是一個蘋果。

5. The word for apple in Chinese is "pín".

   蘋果的中文讀作ㄆㄧㄥˊ。

6. The word “pín” also means smooth.

  ㄆㄧㄥˊ還有平順的意思。

7. If you open it up, the character on the inside is character for “ān.”

   如果你將它打開,裡面的文字就是安的中文字。

8. “ān” means safe.

   安是安全的意思。

9. When you received this, it’s in the shape of the apple with the “ān” on the inside. 

   當你收到這份禮物,它是一個蘋果的形狀,有個安字在裡面

10. It means a smooth and safe life.

     它代表的意思是一個平安順利的人生。

第17集 遊戲場 (Playground)

1. Hello. We’re in the playground at the elementary school. 

   哈囉。我們在一所小學的遊戲場 

2. And children here when they come out to play, use the same equipment everywhere in the world. 

   在這裡的孩子們,當他們出來玩耍的時候會使用與世界各地相同的遊樂設施。 

3. They have a seesaw, a slide and bars. 

   他們有一座翹翹板、一座溜滑梯和單槓。 

4. It gives them a chance to come outside, play, get some exercise. 

   這給他們一個機會,可以出來玩耍和做些運動。 

第18集 跑道 (Track)

1. I’m standing on the track at a school in Taiwan. 

   我現在站在台灣一所學校操場的跑道上。 

2. All schools have one of these. 

   每所學校都有跑道。 

3. It is for running events. 

   它是賽跑的場地。 

4. You can run straight line runs on four lanes. 

   你可以在四個跑道上跑直線。 

5. If you run farther than one hundred meters, you would run around the circle. 

   如果你跑超過一百公尺,你要繞著這個跑道跑。 

6. One trip around is called one lap. 

   繞著跑一趟的路程稱為一圈。 

第19集 磁鐵 (Magnet)

1. Hi, there.

   嗨!

2. Today, we’re gonna talk about magnets.

   今天我們將要來談論磁鐵。

3. Magnets are very good if you wanna stick something to metal.

   磁鐵非常的實用,假如你想要將某樣東西貼在金屬上。

4. Something thin, such as paper.

   貼像是紙這種薄的東西。

5. Me myself, I use magnets on my refrigerator, so I can keep my notes up.

   以我自己來說,我冰箱上會用到磁鐵,這樣我便能將便紙條貼在上面。

6. There happen to be some here.

   這裡剛好有一些磁鐵。

7. This one is in the shape of a papaya.

   這一個是木瓜形狀的磁鐵。

8. This one there, three strawberries.

   這裡有三顆草莓的磁鐵。

9. This one is a starfruit, right here.

   這裡有一個楊桃形狀的磁鐵。

10. And the last one a bunch of tomatoes.

     而最後一個是ㄧ些番茄的磁鐵。

11. Me personally, I use magnets, the circle magnets just like this, to post menus and also note that I give to myself on my refrigerator.

     就我個人而言,我使用像這種圓形的磁鐵來張貼菜單在冰箱上面,以及         我要給自己看的便條紙。

12. Ladies and gentleman, magnets.

     女士與紳士們,這就是磁鐵。

第20集 口腔保健用品 (Mouth Care Products)

1. Hi, there.

   嗨! 

2. Today, we’re gonna talk about mouth care products.

   今天我們要來談論口腔保健用品。

3. The first thing we have right here, as it says, brushpicks.

   我們這裡有的第一件物品,上面寫的是牙籤刷。

4. When I take this out and look at it, one end looks like a toothpick.

   當我把這個牙籤刷拿出來,並看著它時,一端看起來像牙籤。

5. The other end kind of looks like a toothbrush.

   另外一端看起來有點像是牙刷。

6. It has little fins on it.

   上面有鰭狀刷毛。

7. The toothpick aspect is obviously to use.

   牙籤這一邊的用途很明顯。

8. You pick your teeth with it.

   你是用它來剔牙的。

9. But the other one, which has fins, is like a brush.

   但有鰭狀刷毛的另一端就像是一支牙刷。

10. You can stick it between your teeth and your gums, and it cleans them.

     你能把它伸進牙齒和牙齦之間的隙縫,它會把你的牙齒和牙齦清理乾 淨。

11. The other thing we’re gonna look at today is one-time-use dental floss         stick.

    我們今天要來看得另外一件物品 ,是用完即丟的牙線棒。

12. On one end, the stick is like a toothpick if you want to pick something  out of your teeth.

     其中一端,棒子就像是一支牙籤。如果你想要將東西從你的牙齒間剔出 來

13. The other end has one little piece of dental floss on it, and you can floss your teeth with it.

     另一端,有一條小牙線在上面。你可以用牙線來清潔你的牙齒。

14. This is one-time-use thing, because most likely, this will break in time.

     這是用完一次即丟的東西,因為很有可能這個最後會斷掉。

15. Mouth care products. 

口腔保健用品。
